Uniting Hearts and Hands: A reflection on the 2024 Kyrgyzstan mission trip
This year marked a significant chapter in the ongoing story of spiritual and communal outreach, as the United Methodist Church conducted its 2024 mission trip to Kyrgyzstan. The mission, deeply rooted in a decade-long tradition, continued to fortify the ties between various communities under the United Methodist banner and foster a unique blend of cultural and religious unity.
Led by a diverse group of pastors, medical professionals, and missioners from various parts of the United States, including Temple UMC SF, Calvary UMC SJ, and others, our group embarked on a journey that not only aimed at spiritual enrichment but also at providing tangible support to the local communities. With a robust team of 19, including five pastors and a medical expert, our mission was to bolster the churches within the Central Asia Conference, sharing not only monetary support, which amounted to over $9,000, but also spiritual and educational guidance.
