Halloween Contact Lenses

So it’s Halloween and you have the perfect costume but you feel like something is missing? You can have a great costume. but it might just blend in with the rest when it comes down to it, so why not go that extra step and get the contact lenses to go with it? You can find all the colors under the rainbow and then some when you venture into the wonderful world of colored contacts.

There really is no limit on what you can find, from styles to shapes and colors you can find an exact replica of your favorite movie character, comic book superhero or villain. You can also make your own shapes and designs if you are creative and want to make your own style.

You will need to get a prescription for the contacts regardless if you are getting them for vision correction or not. You will find plano colored contact lenses, which basically means that they are aesthetic only, but that won’t change that you need to get a doctor or eye care specialist, optometrist, etc to give you a valid prescription so you can buy them.

This goes for online and in a real shop. If you are buying them online prepare to prove you have a prescription and they will most likely have you fax it in. The good news is that they are used to it and the whole process is very quick and easy.

If you plan on wearing them for a few Halloweens in a row, you can also do this, just make sure that when you aren’t using them that you store them correctly so they don’t get more wear and tear than normal. If you keep them in proper solution and don’t tear, break or rip them, they will last you a while.

It’s not recommended that you sleep in them, as plano, and theatrical contact lenses are usually made just for wearing a few hours at a time. You might be used to extended wear contacts that you can wear for long periods of time, and even sleep in, but since theatrical purposes colored contacts are not as popular, and for a different reason most of the time being purchased, they will not usually have these capabilities. Before you make any decision about wearing them, buying them or if they are right for you, it’s always best to ask your doctor.
